BLACK AND WHITE PRINTING

Superchrome’s colour printing services are also available in black and white, including large format. Our team of digital printers and print operators and technicians have years of experience working with some of the top names in the industry including advertising agencies, architects, art galleries, museums and professional photographers. With our scanning, processing and finishing departments, we are well equipped to fulfil even complex black and white printing briefs.

Our modern black and white printing processes produce sharp edges and fine details even for large format photographic prints. The prints we produce have outstanding visual resolution with consistent colour characteristics and completely neutral gray balance. Large format black and white printing is ideal for exhibitions, information boards, notices, directional signage, mechanical drawings and architectural plans.

For high definition black and white prints, particularly for photographs and artwork, we use Kodak gloss photo paper which gives excellent high gloss results. Photo paper is extremely fade resistant with brilliant highlights, high contrasts, and outstanding durability. It is particularly effective for black and white photography or photos with relatively large areas of white. If a matte finish is desired, we can print on satin paper overlaid with a matte laminate. The inks we use include Eco solvent and UV inks, but choice of ink will depend on the proposed use and substrate.
Once the printing process is over, posters and photos can be laminated if necessary to protect them against scratches and mounted onto Foamex or Dibond for rigidity.
